  • Theoretical condensed matter physics:

    • Quantum theory of many-body systems
    • Mesoscopic physics: Quantum electronics, Electron transport in nanostructures, Kondo physics in quantum dots, Nanomagnetism and spintronics
    • Numerical calculations on strongly correlated systems: Quantum monte carlo, Numerical renormalization group (NRG),
      Density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG), and tensor networks (MPS and PEPS)
  • Quantum optics and quantum information processing:

    • Theory of multipartite entanglement
    • Physical realization of quantum computers
    • Cavity and circuit QED, superconducting qubits
    • Iop trap physics
    • Quantum simulators
